Ozempic® (semaglutide) is a brand-name, FDA-approved once-weekly GLP-1 receptor agonist injection from Novo Nordisk, indicated to improve blood-sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes. How it works

Safety and side effects
Side effects are commonly gastrointestinal, including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation. Ozempic® carries a boxed warning regarding the risk of thyroid C-cell tumors; do not use with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2.
