Getting started

How does Mediclab work?
Three steps: (1) complete a short online health assessment, (2) a licensed U.S. provider reviews it and, if appropriate, prescribes a treatment plan, and (3) your medication ships free and discreet to your door with ongoing support. Start your assessment.
Do I need an appointment or video call?
Usually no. Most patients are reviewed asynchronously from the information in their intake. A provider may follow up by message if they need more detail.
How long until I get my medication?
Once a provider approves your plan and the pharmacy processes it, your order ships promptly with free, discreet delivery. You’ll receive tracking by email.
Is Mediclab legitimate?
Yes. Care is provided by licensed U.S. healthcare professionals, and medications are dispensed by licensed pharmacies. Mediclab provides the telehealth platform and support.

Eligibility & providers

Who is eligible for treatment?
Adults 18+ who complete the assessment. A licensed provider determines whether treatment is appropriate based on your health history, current medications, and goals.
Which states do you serve?
Licensed providers are available across the U.S. Your eligibility for a specific state is confirmed during intake.
Can I use GLP-1 if I have an existing condition or take other medications?
Possibly — share your full history and medications in your intake. Your provider will review for safety and may adjust, request more information, or recommend against treatment.
Will I need lab work?
Sometimes. A provider may request recent labs or additional information before prescribing, depending on your health profile.

Medications & dosing

What’s the difference between semaglutide and tirzepatide?
Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist. Tirzepatide is a dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist, acting on two receptor pathways. Your provider determines which, if either, is appropriate for you.
What’s the difference between compounded and brand-name?
Brand-name medications (Ozempic®, Wegovy®, Zepbound®, Mounjaro®) are FDA-approved products manufactured by their respective companies. Compounded medications are prepared by a state-licensed U.S. compounding pharmacy based on a provider's prescription and are not FDA-approved. Your provider determines which option, if any, is clinically appropriate for you.
Injection or oral — which should I choose?
Injections are once-weekly; oral tablets are daily and needle-free. Your provider helps you choose based on your history and preference.
What dose will I get?
Your provider sets your starting dose and a gradual titration schedule to help your body adjust and reduce side effects.
How do I store my medication?
Injections should be refrigerated (36–46°F) and protected from light; oral tablets are stored at room temperature, away from moisture. Follow the instructions included with your order.
How do I take or inject it?
Your order includes instructions, and your care team can walk you through self-injection or dosing. Message us anytime with questions.

Safety & side effects

What are the common side effects?
Most are gastrointestinal — nausea, constipation, diarrhea, and reduced appetite — and usually ease as your body adjusts. Your provider will review what to expect.
Are GLP-1 medications safe?
Safety depends on your individual health, which is why a licensed provider reviews your history before prescribing. These medications carry a boxed warning regarding thyroid C-cell tumors; tell your provider about any personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2.
What should I do if I have side effects?
Message your care team — they can adjust your plan. For any severe reaction or medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

Orders, shipping & delivery

How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is always free and discreet on every plan.
How is my order packaged?
Discreetly, with no medical branding on the outside. Injectable medications ship with appropriate cold-chain packaging.
How do I track my order?
You’ll get a tracking link by email when your order ships. You can also email hello@mediclab.us with your order number.

Billing, plans & subscriptions

How much does treatment cost?
MedicLab does not quote a price for a prescription medication before a licensed provider has reviewed your intake and determined that treatment is appropriate for you. Once that determination is made, your plan and its cost are confirmed with you in writing before any charge for medication. No hidden fees.
What plans are available?
Monthly, 3-month, and 6-month prepaid plans. See Subscription & Auto-Refill Terms.
Do you accept HSA/FSA?
Yes — our plans are HSA/FSA eligible.
Do you take insurance or Medicare?
Compounded plans are simple cash-pay. For brand-name medications, insurance or Medicare may apply — ask your provider about coverage options.
When am I billed?
Your billing date and amount are confirmed with you before any charge for medication. Plans renew automatically until you cancel; full details in our Subscription & Auto-Refill Terms.

Cancellations & refunds

How do I cancel?
Email hello@mediclab.us with “Cancel my plan” before your next billing date. No phone call required.
What if I’m not approved for treatment?
If a provider determines treatment isn’t appropriate, you won’t be charged for medication.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds follow our Refund Policy. For safety reasons, dispensed prescription medication is generally non-returnable — contact us and we’ll help.

Account & privacy

Is my health information private?
Yes. Your information is handled in line with our Notice of Privacy Practices and Privacy Policy.
How do I update my details or payment method?
Sign in to your account, or email hello@mediclab.us and we’ll help.
How do I message my provider or care team?
Use the messaging in your patient portal, or contact us and we’ll route your question to the right place.
