Mounjaro® (tirzepatide) is a brand-name, FDA-approved once-weekly injection from Eli Lilly, indicated to improve blood-sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes. How it works

Safety and side effects
Side effects are commonly gastrointestinal, including nausea, diarrhea, decreased appetite, vomiting, and constipation. Mounjaro® carries a boxed warning regarding the risk of thyroid C-cell tumors; do not use with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2. Discuss any history of pancreatitis or gallbladder disease with your provider. In an emergency, call 911.
